Our Academic Villages

Our school is divided into community villages and not traditional classrooms. LIFE's multi-age personalized learning journey has emerged as one of today’s most effective ways to structure schools. It targets students’ individual and personal needs and allows students to
excel and succeed. Students develop a sense of family with their classmates. They become a "family of learners" who support and care for each other. Older children have the opportunity to serve as mentors and to take leadership roles. Children are more likely to collaborate than compete. LIFE's educational villages are designed to initiate natural opportunities for independence, good citizenship, and accountability creating optimal conditions for students to excel.

Our Education Philosophy

Montessori Philosophy
Preschool & Primary Villages
Grades: Pre-K-3rd

LIFE Students in grades Prek-3rd use authentic Montessori Methods to experience the joy of learning. Montessori education is student-led, self-paced but guided & assessed by highly qualified Montessori-certified teachers. This transformative experience enables students to discover their true potential leading children for real self-discovery, including better understanding of their future. The Montessori experience prepares students to be curious, lifelong learners, as well as good citizens, future innovators, and able leaders.

Within our community of multi-age villages designed to create natural opportunities for independence, citizenship, and accountability—children embrace multi-sensory learning and passionate inquiry. Our Montessori material allows students to complete daily tasks without the aid of an adult. LIFE's students work diligently and eagerly to develop their skills and knowledge at their own pace. Gaining independence builds confidence, motivation and self sufficiency. All of these qualities help prepare our students for future success in primary education and beyond.

Our International Educational Program is a natural continuation of the Montessori philosophy, building upon its core principles of independence, creativity, and global awareness. As students progress through our Intermediate (Grades 4-5) and Middle School (Grades 6-8) levels, the International Program complements the Montessori foundation by expanding the curriculum to include a broader, more abstract understanding of the world. It aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, creative, and respectful young people with a passion for lifelong learning. Empowered with our College Preparatory Curriculum and high moral values, students are prepared to take leadership roles in today’s challenging world. Our international-focused education ensures that all students will learn a second language and engage in world studies, becoming active global citizens who are well-equipped to navigate and contribute to an interconnected world.
The Intermediate (Grades 4-5) and Middle School (Grades 6-8) levels also consist of multi-age groups with low student-to-teacher ratio and subject areas are covered in longer blocks, not traditional periods, taught by highly qualified teachers. Subject areas include:

  • English Language Arts

  • US History & Social Science

  • E-STEM (Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)

  • Global Studies & International Language (Mandarin or Arabic)

  • Specials & Electives: Debate, Tennis, Chess, Art, Culinary Arts, Music, Gardening, Critical Thinking, Financial literacy, Life Skills, and more.

International Language Program

Grades: PreK-8th

At Life International Academy, every student will learn a second language (Arabic or Mandarin) through daily language instruction and immersion in their classroom. Our unique program is based on ACTFL latest scientific research and effective methods for teaching International languages for non-native speakers (American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages ). The program emphasizes conversational skills through a combination of hands-on activities, culture exploration & dramatic storytelling. Our goal is to provide a multicultural educational experience, instilling in our students a constant curiosity towards foreign languages and fostering students’ global-mindedness and critical thinking for learning foreign languages enabling students to intuitively reach their highest mastery of
bilingualism.
